long time ago i stumbled upon JAN ŠVANKMAJER´s  Version of ALICE and it scared and attracted me at the same time… today i rediscovered his work and i´m overwhelmed again!

The Czech filmmaker and surrealist is a nonpareil artist (born 4 September 1934 in Prague) and his great influence to other well-known artists is undeniable – such as TIM BURTON and TERRY GILLIAM (WIKIPEDIA say-so).

let me introduce you to the miraculous and marvellous world of astonishment – DIANE ARBUS.
I “met” her in a sleepless night last week in a thrilling movie called FUR- AN IMAGINARY PORTRAIT OF DIANE ARBUS and now her intense Photographs won´t get out of my head!

Der Name der Band inklusive Albumtitel hätte mich niemals ahnen lassen dass diese Geschichte das Potential hat  mich auf so melancholische und wundervolle Art und Weise durch den Herbst zu hauchen.

Hi, i love to show you my latest work for a munich-based magazine, called SPY.
I illustrated a map, with a lot of nice places in it, to explore the city at it´s best!
And what a nostalgic coincidence- during the realization i moved from munich to berlin, although i know every tiny corner in munich´s geography from now on because i had to (with a mediculous precision) insert  all the street names in every borough. extremly cool to be a walking navi….hm… but indeed a bit to late!!!

i cleaned up my photo library and my sd-cards and found these old pictures. i looked at the date, checked my old, battered calendar from 2007 and detected that this shot happend in Worms or Alzey during my work as a sales-rep. back in the days.
It´s nice to find such a souvenir 3 years later!
