he wasn´t a soft and pink with a fat little tummy;
he was a hard and hollow, a little boy mummy.
“tell us, please, doctor, the reason or cause,
why our bundle of joy is just a bundle of gauze.”
“my diagnosis,” he said, “for the better or worse,
is that your son is the result of an old pharaoh´s curse.”
(…)
It was late in the day—just before dark.
Mummy boy took his dog for a walk in the park.
The park was empty except for a squirrel,
and a birthday party of an mexican girl.
the boys and girls had started to play,
but noticed that thing that looked like papier mâché .
“Look, it´s like a pinata,” said one of the boys,
“lets crack it wide open and get candy and toys.”
they took a baseball bat and whacked open his head.
Mummy boy fell to the ground; he finally was dead.
Inside of his head were no candy or prizes,
just a few stray beetles of various sizes.
Taken from TIM BURTON´S short story “MUMMY BOY“.
Abstract from a book, called “THE MELANCHOLY DEATH OF THE OYSTER BOY & OTHER STORIES”
what a cold and white winter day in berlin. we made a trip through the woods in WUHLHEIDE and had a great time with LUIS trudging through the snow. it was like a wild walk on an empty planet!

i like to show you that great box of treasures. it´s the whole collection of all the printing blocks my grandparents and my parents used for catalogues, booklets, flyer and advertising for their own company. A lot of material of a half-century! it was such an exciting moment to unpack the carton. Besides old bills, notes and illustrations i found a cliché with an image of my grandparents- i think it was used for an anniversary issue…The two looked amazingly charming, right?

Oh and have a look at this nice campaign called HOME from MARTIN DE THURA (he also directed the amazing FEVER RAY´s “WHEN I GROW UP” and the Film YOUNG MAN FALLING)

men, time goes by too fast…i´m so sorry for my discontinuity! i like to show you some nice things from last week…first is a old tapestry from BANGUI, central-africa. my relatives lived there and it was a gift to us when we where little. now this masterpiece is mine and it reminds me of my child´s room back in the days. i love it. the memory, the great needlework, the colours and the motive.
AND look at this cute flower and the special mail which my sweet five-year-old nephew sent to his “fast-food aunty” from his holidays in sweden: a delicious-looking hot dog (varm korv)- postcard- deeply in love with the stamps (and julius of course)

Die farbigen Teile sehen doch eigentlich gleich aus.
Aber wenn man sie anders anordnet entsteht ein Loch…
