Hi, i love to show you my latest work for a munich-based magazine, called SPY.
I illustrated a map, with a lot of nice places in it, to explore the city at it´s best!
And what a nostalgic coincidence- during the realization i moved from munich to berlin, although i know every tiny corner in munich´s geography from now on because i had to (with a mediculous precision) insert all the street names in every borough. extremly cool to be a walking navi….hm… but indeed a bit to late!!!
i cleaned up my photo library and my sd-cards and found these old pictures. i looked at the date, checked my old, battered calendar from 2007 and detected that this shot happend in Worms or Alzey during my work as a sales-rep. back in the days.
It´s nice to find such a souvenir 3 years later!
WHAT YOU HEAR (my personal Soundtrack during this trip 2007) : SHE WANTS REVENGE // OUT OF CONTROL
this is my desk. ok ok only a little part of the things which are on my desk.
essentially i like to show you the floral- ink drawing. it was a great “schöneberger” flea market- find and this great card with amazing colours- drawn by Wesley Willis (May 31, 1963 – August 21, 2003). i love his work so much!
Wikipedia knows it better:
“Wesley Lawrence Willis was a busker, musician, comedian and artist from Chicago. A diagnosed chronic schizophrenic, he gained a sizable cult following in the 1990s after releasing several hundred songs of simple but unique music, with emphasis on his humorous, bizarre, and frequently obscene lyrics. In addition to his large body of solo musical work, Willis fronted the punk rock band the Wesley Willis Fiasco. He also produced hundreds of unusual colored ink-pen drawings, most of them of the Chicago skyline and CTA buses.”
Besides the fact, he sang about all the things i like e.g. McDonalds, Batman i´m not really into his music…guess why?!
my lovelies, i see your still here despite the fact i´m not a reliable writer- this makes me glad and really happy!
life- during the past few month was really turbulent and thrilling and hardly a day goes by without a novelty.
I hope all things will turn out well and the good things will be even better!
here is my song of the day – jaaa, i now, it´s the millionth time i blog something about these girls- don´t take it amiss, enjoy!
…is my song of the day! i love the music from this extraordinary BAND for a long time now (maybe it´s because i´m always in love with a catchy HAMMOND- ORGAN tune).
plus, i found this stunning picture on CULT STATUS this morning…have a look at one of my favourite blogs to get inspired!
Back!!!
Jetzt, angekommen in Berlin.
- Berlin, Berlin, Du bist mein Publikum
There is an amazing music festival which takes place in the UK. why haven´t i ever heard of it? thats pretty sad because the line-up sounds insanely great.
The Festival ALL TOMORROW´S PARTIES is named after THE VELVET UNDERGROUND song and was founded in 1999. The documentary about the concerts is now available on DVD and the trailer looks really promising!
what a cold and white winter day in berlin. we made a trip through the woods in WUHLHEIDE and had a great time with LUIS trudging through the snow. it was like a wild walk on an empty planet!
oh I’m still living / at the old address / and I’m waiting on the weather / that i know will pass / i know that its true-its gonna be a good year / outta the darkness-and into the fire / ill tell ya i love ya / and my hearts in the strangest place thats how it started / and thats how it ends / and i know your with me / its a point of pride / and its louder then lighting / in this room of mine
hello you lovely people, hope you enjoyed the quiet christmas days like you deserve it! now i have a bad cold and after some days at home with my lovely family (eating the whole day) i´m lying in bed hearing CHARLES DICKENS i´ve just made my favourite dish from my childhood and delicious stewed apples to recover! wish you a wonderful week…
i like to show you that great box of treasures. it´s the whole collection of all the printing blocks my grandparents and my parents used for catalogues, booklets, flyer and advertising for their own company. A lot of material of a half-century! it was such an exciting moment to unpack the carton. Besides old bills, notes and illustrations i found a cliché with an image of my grandparents- i think it was used for an anniversary issue…The two looked amazingly charming, right?
i´ve such a lively time at the end of the year…time is getting short and the move to berlin comes frighteningly soon and nothing is done yet! that´s the reason why i totally forgot to invite you to our GALERIEMARKT at THE BAKERYlast saturday. it was such a lovely afternoon with nice people. the exhibition will run into next year (15/01/2010) and all the exhibits are for sale (some aenniemal-stuff as well).
